Today, I want to talk about how meditation works. The different types of benefits you can get from it. And most importantly, how does meditation help you to be healed?

Many people lead very demanding or challenging lives. They frequently experience daily shoulder aches, headaches, and other issues. Meditation is a must-do if you wish to modify this way of life immediately. Practising meditation will help you overcome these challenges and dramatically improve your life.

Everybody has healing power within themselves. If you practice meditation for healing, you don’t need to go to the hospital if you are sick. It is a powerful tool that could change every situation positively. Being positive makes you feel better and resilient to illnesses.

So, how will meditation helps you heal?

Below are the different benefits you can get if you practice meditation for healing:

Physical Benefits of Meditation

You could change your brain mode from beta to alpha to theta and the much higher delta through meditation. Situations control your life and make you very stressed at your deep unconscious level. Like trauma or a car accident, these things are absorbed and will shock your consciousness.

Another example is arthritis; when you feel cold and start to experience joint aches, the main reason for that is your memory. Your memory believes that you will have joint pains when it gets cold. Your mind conjures up these scenarios, which cause pain in your body. Meditation helps remove these wrong inputs in your subconscious.

Think about being stuck in a box; your mind signals your body to feel the pain. Your mind is creating the pain that your body feels. Isn’t it unbelievable? That’s the secret of physical troubles.

You can change your brain mode from alpha to theta and condition your brain to think positively. For example, just think that you like cold when it’s cold, and you will not feel pain in your joints.

The only way you can live your life to the fullest, physically or mentally, is by practising meditation. It can help remove your physical pains.

Emotional Benefits of Meditation

I’ve been practising meditation for over 35 years. I started during a time when I was very stressed.

The very reason why I’m stressed is that I want so many things done, and I’m a perfectionist.

I want every work I do to be perfect, so I keep working hard to achieve all that. When we are assigned to a project, it feels like I’m the one who does everything, and my team members haven’t done anything right.

It’s been quite stressful, and managing the project has been challenging. I was very frustrated since I had put so much effort into it. Why won’t my team members comply with my requests? I get pretty worn out trying to solve every issue.

It’s very depressing to feel like I’m the only one working. My emotions got the best of me, and I couldn’t sleep.

Holding on to heavy emotions all the time is quite difficult. It will rob all the happy feelings you have.

That situation made me start meditation. I went to a meditation class. I remember before my first meditation class started, I was irate, thinking about what will I do to fix my issues. And then, just one hour after the class began, I felt so good. That’s when I realised it was my team members’ problem, not mine, so why did I have to fix it all?

All the situations overshadow my logical thinking and drain all my energy, and meditation wipes all of it. It’s like a fire burning inside my mind; after meditating, it just disappears. It makes me feel so good afterwards. These situations will not affect you if you are peaceful and happy.

There was an interesting television documentary about sharks that I watched. Since many people are afraid of sharks, they do some testing. They put a person inside a cage submerged in the water while sharks are swimming outside. She was terrified, and the sharks could sense her negative energy. Many sharks attack the cage because they feel fear in that person.

Then they swap with a person who practices meditation, and amazingly the sharks never attack that person.

The experiment tells us that regular meditation can banish fear and maintain composure in any situation.

So, for a happier and more fulfilling life, it is essential to always be at peace with yourself.

Spiritual Benefits of Meditation

An essential part of who we are is our spirituality. Our planet is dramatically changing, and we have been depressed for so long. Religions have misled us for a very long time.

Our spirit is the core of our body or the soul of our life. Every human has it inside the body and connects us to the universe. Our ability to grow spiritually can take us to a far higher spiritual level.

Constant meditation can control and balance your life’s physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. If you have control over these, you can achieve anything you want in life.

I practise affirmation meditation all the time. All you have to do is focus all your energy; your spiritual levels will rise, and you can reach a higher spiritual level. Your input can change your situation dramatically.

Meditation is not complex if you are committed; everybody can do it.

For starters, you have to answer these questions:

  1. Who am I?
  2. What am I?
  3. What does my spirit want to do?

We could listen to our spirit’s message from within ourselves. Our goal is to understand what and who we are from within. Meditation can lead you to a fantastic world.

How to Get Started with Mediation

You can practise it easily in your house. Sit up straight on the bed before going to sleep. Then breathe deeply and very slowly as much as you can. Close your eyes and focus deeply on your breathing.

Eventually, you will feel peace and quiet. Chant a mantra like I’ve done an excellent job today, and I feel so good.
